The European Reined Cow Horse Association is ready to kick off the second appointment of the show season, the Derby for 4 and 5 year old horses showed in snaffle bit will be held in Travagliato (BS) – Italy from 5 to 8 may. Horse and rider combinations from all over the Europe will compete for big prizes, in fact total added money for this special event and horse show will be 14.000$.
This year 2.150$ are offered from our sponsor Okami Ranch and divided as following:

  • Derby Open from 7.000$ – added to 7.500$
  • Derby Level 1 Open from 1.000$ to 1.500$
  • Derby Non Pro from 1.500$ a 2.000$
  • Derby Level 1 Non Pro from 500$ to 1.000$
  • Derby Non Pro Boxing from 200$ to 350$

This event sanctioned by National Reined Cow Horse Association will be judged by Eugenio Latorre.
In the Derby Open entries are 30, regarding the Level 1 Open division we will se 17 horses. Many will be also non professional riders, in the Derby Non Pro they will be on 13, while in the Derby Level 1 Non Pro entries are 11 and in the Derby Non Pro Boxing we will see 10 horse and rider combinations. Great numbers for this special event offered by European Reined Cow Horse Association!

Horse show added for this second stage will be 1.650$ in total, horse and rider combinations ready to fight for title and prizes in many categories will be 84.
Rich will be also the prizes offered by the European Reined Cow Horse Association and its fundamental sponsors.

The 2022 Derby Open Champion will bring home between other prizes also a beautiful saddle offered by DP SADDLERY DEUBER & PARTNER.

Open and Non Pro Derby Champions will receive a customised breast collar offered by NEVIO LEPRE as well as a beautiful embroidered horse blanket offered by RENY. Like any self-respecting event, the sparkling buckles cannot be missed for champions and reserve champions of Derby divisions: Open, Non Pro, Level 1 Open and Level 1 Non Pro will receive a buckle sponsored by EUROPEAN REINED COW HORSE ASSOCIATION.

In addition to all this the lady rider who will mark fence work top score will receive a pair of spur straps offered by CUOIO E DINTORNI.

Following the untimely and sudden death of Filippo Masi, member and supporter of our association since its establishment, ERCHA dedicates the Novice Riders class to him. The category will therefore be called Filippo Masi Novice Riders.

We just have to wait for you at the Palacittà of Travagliato from 5 to 8 May for four exciting days of cow horse and to find out which will be the winners of the various categories offered by the European Reined Cow Horse Association.
