RULES FOR REGIONAL SHOWS 2025

Every show will have a show manager and a secretary that will be responsible for the organisation, to collect the ERCHA membership, the distribution of the added, the communication of the results. It can’t be organised one week before or one week after an Ercha special event.

The ERCHA show regional season finish on 15th November of each year. For this reason the riders has to be ERCHA next year members from this date.

The judge will be an ERCHA/NRCHA official judge.

The classes:

  • Open Bridle;

  • Non Pro Bridle;

  • Novice Riders; is an ERCHA approved class. It’s a Jackpot class where horses NOT owned by the rider can be shown too. Horses may be shown 2-handed in hackamore or snaffle-bit, or with regular AQHA bits. AQHA rules are applied. Riders cannot have earned more than $750 in fence work classes at any judged classes or events with the exception of horse sales. The winner of the 2024 Novice Riders Championship IN EACH REGION will not be eligible to participate in the 2025 Novice Riders. According to the following table:

  • Novice Horse Open (horses will be showed only on snaffle-bit two handed – no limits for the age of horses)

  • Novice Horse Non Pro horses will be showed only on snaffle-bit two handed – no limits for the age of horses)

The classes that will be organised, on free choice of the organiser (all or someone)

  • Hackamore Open and Non Pro;
  • Two Rein Open and Non Pro;
  • Limited Open Bridle;
  • Non Pro Boxing;
  • Box Drive;
  • Limited Non Pro Boxing;
  • Level 1 Non Pro Bridle;
  • Youth Novice Riders; is an ERCHA approved class open to rider under 18 as of November 16th of the current show year. Youth may not show stallions in Youth classes for safety reasons.
  • HERDWORK ALL AGES OPEN AND NON PRO; is an ERCHA approved class. It’s open for open and non pro rider. It’s open to horses of any age owned by the Non Pro rider. From 2025 horses NOT owned by the rider can be shown too in the Non Pro division. Horses may be shown 2-handed in snaffle-bit, or with regular AQHA bits. A minimum of 1 fresh cow per horse and rider combination must be guaranteed in the Herdwork All Ages classes;

  • Every class can have an added or be jackpot;

  • Horses and riders have to do an ERCHA regional membership (the cost for 2025 is 60€);

  • The regional final will be held on October 2025, riders qualified are that ones with more than 3 points (like the ranking list ERCHA available on the website);

  • Before publishing the show program the organizer has to wait for ERCHA approval;

  • If there is an added, this added has to be distributed independently the number of horses;

  • Three weeks before the regional show, a copy of the approval form has to be send to the ERCHA segretary ercha.regionals.laura@gmail.com for the approval;

  • There is a penalty of €100 if the show is cancelled

  • After the show: score cards, ranking list and new membership has to be send to the ERCHA secretary ercha.regionals.laura@gmail.com

ATTENTION: IMPORTANT FOR THE SHOW ORGANISERS.

  • Show organisers are responsible for ERCHA memberships (riders and owners) and for the riders assurance before the show.
  • It is recommended that the conditions of the competition ground are adequate to ensure the safety of the pairs.
  • If membership money doesn’t arrive to the ERCHA, the show is cancelled;
  • If a person doesn’t pay: entry fees, cattle charge, or membership he or she will be listed in the ERCHA SUSPENDED LIST. This is a list that indicates the people can’t participate in any ERCHA show before paying. Follow the link https://ercha.org/ercha-disciplinary-action-list/
  • ERCHA can not approve a show
