Travagliato (BS), Italy — Casalini and Call Me Smart Voodoo dominate, winning all three Open divisions

Pre Futurity Open, Level 1 Open and Limited Open

In the Pre Futurity Open, rising young talents delivered an impressive showcase of precision and promise. 3-year-old gelding Call Me Smart Voodoo, ridden by Sara Casalini for Italian owner Gloria Benassi, claimed the top spot with a confident and consistent performance across all events, earning a total of 217 points (71.5 rein/73 cow/72.5 herd). The son of Call Me Mr Voodoo out of CH Smarty Freckles stood out for balance, correctness, and maturity in the arena to win all three Open divisions.

Close behind in the Open, 4-year-old stallion Bet An Spark, guided by Giovanni Campanaro for Green Mountain Quarter Horses, secured second place with 214.5 points (70.5 rein/ 72.5 cow/71.5 herd) confirming the strong potential of the Bet Command Rey × Sailin Sparkle cross. The class highlighted the remarkable quality of this year’s futurity prospects and the continued evolution of young horses entering the sport.

Finishing as Reserve Champion in the Level 1 Open and in the Limited Open divisions, Andrea Favaretto delivered a composed and well‑balanced performance aboard 4-year-old Pistolboonssilverdoc, owned by Claudia Schwind. The gelding by Whats Up Doc Boon out of Pistol Little Oak showed correctness and determination throughout the run, marking 69.5 in the Rein Work, 72 in the Fence Work, and 71 in the Herd Work for a total of 212.5 points. Their steady execution across all phases secured a strong second‑place finish and highlighted the horse’s promising development.

Pre Futurity Non Pro, Level 1 Non Pro and Non Pro Boxing

Young Italian rider Edoardo Poli Barberis delivered one of the most decisive performances of the futurity, sweeping all three Non Pro divisions aboard SR Fletch In Girls, owned by Az. Agricola Samisa Ranch. The talented 4-year-old mare, sired by Highbrow Fletch and out of Girls Got Dual, showed remarkable consistency across all phases of the competition, marking 71.5 in the Rein Work, 72 in the Fence Work (72 Boxing), and 71.5 in the Herd Work for a winning total of 215 points. Edo’s triple victory in Non Pro, Level 1 Non Pro, and Non Pro Boxing confirms both the strength of his partnership and the promising future of this standout futurity prospect.

Claiming the title of Reserve Champion in the Non Pro and Level 1 Non Pro divisions, Andrea Panizza delivered a determined and well‑constructed performance aboard Oh My Cats, a 4-year-old he also owns. The gelding, sired by Oh Cay MC and out of Cat Oaks, showed solid progression throughout the futurity phases, marking 66 in the Rein Work, 71.5 in the Fence Work, and 72 in the Herd Work for a total of 209.5 points. Their run demonstrated consistency, accuracy, and a clear upward trend across the three events, securing Panizza a strong second‑place finish behind Edoardo Poli’s triple sweep.

On second place in the Non Pro Boxing was Italian Cristina Cacciolatti on 4-year-old gelding Hickorys Journey (Metallic Journey x Hickory Dual Violet) scoring a total of 210.5 points (70 Rein/71 Boxing/69.5 Herd).

Open Bridle Spectacular

Markus Schopfer claimed the Open Bridle Spectacular Championship aboard 6-year-old Oh Cay EasterCat, a horse he also owns, delivering one of the most complete and authoritative performances of the event. The stallion by Oh Cay MC out of Snapper Victoria impressed across all phases, marking 71.5 in the Rein Work, 73.5 in the Fence Work, and 73 in the Herd Work for a commanding total of 218 points.

Germany’s Simone Fiedler earned the Reserve Championship with Ruf Kid Dont Spook, a 9-year-old she owns and has developed with consistency. The gelding by Spooks Dox out of Sailinspark Playgirl posted 69.5 in the Rein Work, a zero in the Fence Work due to a missed maneuver, and 71 in the Herd Work, closing with 140.5 points.

Non Pro Bridle Spectacular

Italian Sarah Destefanis claimed the Non Pro Bridle Spectacular Championship aboard Hot As Wasabi, delivering one of the most complete and confident performances of the entire event. The talented 12-year-old mare sired by Little Dulces Rey and out of Whirlacat posted 72 in the Rein Work, 73 in the Fence Work, and an outstanding 74 in the Herd Work, reaching a commanding total of 219 points. Their run combined precision, rhythm, and strong cow sense, securing a clear and well‑deserved victory in the Spectacular.

For Germany Klaus Paucker earned the Reserve Championship with Silver Catfish, showing consistency and determination throughout the three phases. The 6-year-old gelding marked 69.5 in the Rein Work, 69.5 in the Fence Work, and 69 in the Herd Work, closing with a solid 208 points. Their balanced performance confirmed the pair’s reliability and competitiveness, securing a strong second‑place finish behind Destefanis’ winning run.

Open Two Rein Spectacular

Italian professional Markus Schopfer secured the Open Two Rein Spectacular Championship aboard Oh Cay EasterCat, a horse he also owns, delivering a smooth and confident performance across all three phases. The stallion by Oh Cay MC out of Snapper Victoria marked 71.5 in the Rein Work, 72 in the Fence Work, and 72 in the Herd Work, closing with a strong total of 215.5 points.

Non Pro Two Rein Spectacular

German rider Klaus Paucker captured the Non Pro Two Rein Spectacular Championship aboard Silver Catfish, a horse he also owns and has developed with consistency. Herdwork All Ages Open

Germany’s Simone Fiedler claimed the Herd Work All Ages Open Championship aboard Ruf Kid Dont Spook, a horse she also owns. The gelding, sired by Spooks Dox and out of Sailinspark Playgirl, delivered a sharp and confident run, earning a winning 72. Their work showed precision in the first cut, strong control throughout, and a clean, forward approach to the cattle, securing a decisive victory in the class.
