Travagliato (BS), Italy — The 2026 ERCHA/NRCHA Bet Hesa Boon Derby Open Final delivered a thrilling finish, with Italy’s Giovanni Campanaro claiming the championship title aboard the 4-year-old mare Tassa Justice MR, owned by Lorenzo Colombo.

Showcasing precision, control, and consistency throughout the three events, Campanaro guided Tassa Justice MR (SDP Justice Is Comin x Dual Tassa MR) to a winning composite score of 572½. A solid final fence work score of 145, combined with confident performances in the prelims, secured the top spot in a highly competitive field.

Bet Hesa Boon Derby Limited Open

Taking reserve honors in the Open division was Pietro Tuberga riding the 4-year-old mare Electra Cat (Metallic Cattack x Hope Is A Cat) for owner Alessandro Starace. The duo pushed hard for the win, closing with an impressive total of 571½. Their standout cow work final score of 146½ kept them firmly in contention until the final runs. Thanks to his score Pietro Tuberga and Electra Cat brings home also the Champion title in the Bet Hesa Boon Derby Limited Open.

Samuele Poli secured second place in the Limited Open with the 5-year-old gelding SR Fletch in Black (Highbrow Fletch x Latexa Glo). A cow work score of 145.5 brought their total to 566.5.

Bet Hesa Boon Derby Level 1 Open

In the Bet Hesa Boon Derby Level 1 Open, Germany’s Arno Gorgasser claimed the championship aboard 4-year-old A Time to Hickory, owned by Franka Müller. The mare, by Hickory Holly Time out of A Time To Sparkle, delivered a balanced and consistent performance across all three events, posting scores of 135 in rein work, 133½ in fence work, and 141 in herd work for a winning total of 409½.

Close behind in second place was Italy’s Stefano Mercuri riding Olde Number Seven for owner Ernesto Mercuri. The 4-year-old stallion, sired by High Brow Cat out of HNS Sofia, showed strength especially in the rein work with a 142½, and maintained solid performances throughout to close with an overall score of 404½.

Bet Hesa Boon Derby Non Pro and Level 1 Non Pro

In the Bet Hesa Boon Derby Non Pro and Level 1 Non Pro, Italy’s Claudio Paolucci topped the standings aboard A General Diamond, a horse he also owns. The 5-year-old stallion, by General Topsy Cody out of A Spot Diamond, delivered a composed and effective performance, highlighted by a 137½ in the final fence work, to reach a winning total of 556½.

Just half a point behind, Giorgia Girardello secured second place riding Metallic Equalizer for Ranch Del Sole Soc. Agr. The horse, sired by Meteles Cat out of Showgirl All Dun, matched closely throughout the competition and closed with a 136 in the final, finishing on a 556 total in a very tight competition.

Bet Hesa Boon Derby Non Pro Boxing

In the Bet Hesa Boon Derby Non Pro Boxing, Germany’s Sabine Lamberts claimed the top spot aboard Tequila Boon Cat, a horse she also owns. The talented 6-year-old gelding, by Boogie Boon out of Carmelita Cat, delivered a standout boxing performance, earning a 143½ in the final and reaching an impressive total of 574½.

Italy’s young rider Edoardo Poli Barberis finished in second place with SR Fletch In Girls, owned by Az. Agricola Samisa Ranch. The 4-year-old mare, sired by Highbrow Fletch out of Girls Got Dual, matched the winning cow work final score of 143½ and closed the class with a total of 566.

Bridle Spectacular Open

In the Open Bridle Spectacular, Italy’s Giovanni Campanaro delivered another standout performance to secure the championship aboard Just Metallic Light, owned by Shirley Schalcher. The talented 7-year-old mare, by Sannman out of Just Getting Light, produced one of the most complete runs of the show, scoring 142 in rein work, 146 in fence work, and 145 in herd work for a winning total of 433.

In second place, Germany’s Patrick Sattler rode Justa ShiningSparkle for owner Sylvia Bate. The 11-year-old mare, by Sharp Dressed Shiner out of Justa Little Slipper, stayed consistently strong across all three events, highlighted by a 143 in fence work and with a 144 in herd work, finishing with a close 427 and keeping the pressure on the leaders until the end.

Bridle Spectacular Non Pro

In the Non Pro Bridle Spectacular, Germany’s Klaus Paucker took the championship aboard Silver Catfish, a horse he also owns. The 6-year-old gelding, by Rainboon Man out of Vans Lil Pepidot, opened strong with a 141½ in rein work and maintained a solid overall performance, adding a 143 in fence work to secure a winning total of 409½ despite a more challenging herd work phase.

Second place went to Germany’s Sylvia Bate riding First Cats Got Luck, which she also owns. The 9-year-old mare, by Cats Got Freckles out of Latexa Glo, posted a 140½ in fence work and showed consistency across the events to finish with a total score of 395.

Open Two Rein Spectacular

In the Open Two Rein Spectacular, Italy’s Pietro Tuberga rose to the top of the leaderboard with Katrina Hope Olena, owned by Domenico Sapino. The 8-year-old Oaks Lone Pepto mare out of Haida Oleana put together a polished, three-phase performance, earning 142½ in rein work, 145½ in fence work, and 143 in herd work for a winning composite of 431.

Hot on their heels, Italy’s Markus Schopfer secured the runner-up position aboard Oh Cay EasterCat, shown for Sandro Peretto. By Oh Cay MC out of Snapper Victoria, the 6-year-old stallion delivered a sharp and competitive effort throughout the 3 events, highlighted by 143½ in rein work and 144 in fence work, ultimately finishing on 427½.

Non Pro Two Rein Spectacular

In the Non Pro Two Rein Spectacular, Italy’s Sara Crisci climbed to the top of the standings aboard Smart Theodore, an 8-year-old gelding by SLJ Smart Doc Sparks and out of Rosellina. The pair produced a clean and well-rounded run across all three events, marking 140½ in rein work, 131 in fence work, and 137 in herd work, finishing with a total score of 408½.

Right behind them, Germany’s Klaus Paucker claimed second place riding Silver Catfish, by Rainboon Man out of Vans Lil Pepidot. The combination delivered a steady and competitive performance throughout the event, highlighted by 137 in rein work, 136 in fence work, and 135 in herd work, closing on an overall score of 408.

Hackamore

The Open Hackamore saw Markus Schopfer (ITA) rise to the top of the leaderboard aboard Ohcay Jokin Chic (by Oh Cay Mc out of Jokin Chic), owned by Pietro Pennacchio. The duo put together an authoritative performance, combining precision in the rein work (141½) with a standout fence work score (144) to secure victory on an overall 285½. Claiming second place, Andrea Santini (ITA) partnered his own Boomerey (by SDP Justice Is Comin out of May Be Boom) for a solid finish. Their run, marked by consistency and control, earned 134½ in rein work and 140 in fence work, closing on a total of 274½.

In the Non Pro Hackamore, it was Jan Luca Waizenegger (GER) who claimed the top spot aboard Elta Buccaneer, a horse he also owns, sired by Super Little Chic out of Einsteins Senorita. The pair delivered a composed and well-executed performance, showing accuracy in the rein work, scored 138½, and a tidy fence work worth 120. Their combined effort resulted in a total of 258½, securing them the win in the class.

Limited Non Pro Boxing

In the Limited Non Pro Boxing, it was Selina Michels of Germany who rose to the top of the standings aboard MTR Miss Annie (by Cowboys Cool Jessie out of Sizzlin Freckled Ann). The pair delivered a strong and well-balanced performance, highlighted by a solid rein work score of 136½ and an equally composed fence work of 135, finishing with a total of 271½ to secure the victory. Taking second place, Raimundo Segura of Spain partnered Ans Mokie Vaquero (by Ans Mokie Cat out of Junes Little CD) for a close and competitive run. Their effort showed consistency throughout both phases, earning 132½ in the rein work and improving to 136½ in the fence work, closing the class on a total of 269.

Novice Horse

In the Novice Horse Open, it was Roberto Marchi of Italy who secured the top position aboard OW Metallic Lenas (by Oh Cay Mc out of MV Lenas Revenge), owned by Carlotta Zigiotti. Finishing in second place, Simone Fiedler of Germany rode Magnetinic (by Chic Magnetic out of Salinspark Playgirl).

The pair produced a sharp and composed pattern, highlighted by a strong rein work score of 141 and a fence work of 127, finishing with a total of 268 to take the win. Securing second place, Thomas Hofacker of Germany partnered Cowboys Great Finlay (by Dun Its Cowboy out of Hollywood Glamour). Their performance closed with a 136½ in the rein work and a 123½ in the fence work, closing on a total of 260.

Level 1 Non Pro Bridle and Intermediate Non Pro Bridle

In the Level 1 Non Pro Bridle and Intermediate Non Pro Bridle, the class was topped by Thomas Hofacker of Germany, who guided Cowboys Great Finlay (by Dun Its Cowboy out of Hollywood Glamour) to a composed and reliable performance. The pair posted a 135 in the rein work and a 124½ in the fence work, which added up to a winning total of 259½. In second place, Sylvia Bate of Germany rode First Cats Got Luck (by Cats Got Freckles out of Latexa Glo) in a run that featured a rein work score of 136½, but no score in the fence work. Despite the incomplete second phase, their opening effort secured a final total of 136½ and the runner-up position in the class.

Level 1 Open Bridle

In the Level 1 Open Bridle, the victory went to Simone Fiedler of Germany, who piloted Ruf Kid Dont Spook (by Spooks Dox out of Sailinspark Playgirl), a horse she also owns. The pair delivered a standout and well-executed run, combining a rein work score of 136½ with an excellent fence work of 142½, bringing their total to 279 and securing a clear win in the class.

Filippo Masi Novice Riders

Italy’s Frida Lomelina took home champion title aboard SA Ret Great N San (by Ret Great N San), a horse owned by Rodolfo Lomelina. The pair produced a 142 in the rein work and a 127 in the boxing,  for a total of 269. Thomas Hofacker of Germany, took home reserve champion title with Cowboys Great Finlay (by Dun Its Cowboy out of Hollywood Glamour), a 134 in the rein work and a 134.5 for a total of 268½.

Non Pro Boxing

In the Non Pro Boxing, the top spot went to Germany’s Sabine Lamberts, who guided Tequila Boon Cat (Boogie Boon x Carmelta Cat) through a sharp, confident performance. Their pattern combined a powerful rein work of 141 with an equally assertive fence work of 144½, bringing their final to 285½ and leaving no doubt about the winning position. Second place was secured by Spain’s Raimundo Segura, riding Ans Mokie Vaquero (ANS Mokie Cat x Junes Little CD, a horse he also owns. The pair delivered a composed and well‑balanced run, marked by a 137 in the rein work and a 143 in the boxing. Their total of 280 earned them a clear and deserved runner‑up finish in the class. 

Box Drive

In the Box Drive, the win went to Germany’s Ronald Fiedler, who delivered a sharp and confident run aboard The Big Lebowski (Jac O Rima x Joes Prescription), owned by Simone Fiedler. Their pattern was marked by a crisp rein work of 141 paired with a solid 139 in the fence work, bringing their total to 280 and securing the top of the leaderboard. The runner‑up spot was claimed by fellow German rider Selina Michels with MTR Miss Annie (Cowboys Cool Jessie x Sizzlin Freckled Ann), a mare she owns. The pair produced a 135 in the rein work and a 131½ in the fence work. Their combined 266½ placed them comfortably in second position.

Herdwork All Ages

In the Herdwork All Ages Open, Patrick Sattler (GER) claimed the top spot aboard Justa ShiningSparkle (by Sharp Dressed Shiner out of Justa Little Slipper), earning a total score of 143 (71½ – 71½). The pair demonstrated excellent control and precision on the cows, standing out for their smooth and confident execution throughout the run. Finishing in second place, Simone Fiedler (GER) rode Ruf Kid Dont Spook (by Spooks Dox out of Sailinspark Playgirl) to a score of 134½ (66½ + 68).

In the Herdwork All Ages Non Pro, Alessandro Simeoni (ITA) secured first place aboard Lena Star Cat (by Lenas Starfish out of FM Sympatycat), owned by Michela Mazzoni. The pair delivered a confident and controlled run, earning a total score of 139 (70 – 69). Second place went to Frida Lomelina (ITA) riding SA Ret Hickory N San (by Ret Great N San out of Hickory Sanote), owned by Rodolfo Lomelina. Their performance was well-managed, finishing with a score of 136 (69 – 67).
