Giovanni Campanaro claimes ERCHA Snaffle Bit Classic Open 4-5 Yrs  Reined Work, Sara Casalini top in L1 Open

The Reined Work was the first discipline of the ERCHA Snaffle Bit Classic Open for 4 and 5 year old horses. Here, multiple ERCHA Futurity Champion Giovanni Campanaro and Alessia Campi’s Stilysh Sparkle (More Than Stylish x Sailing Sparkle) took the lead scoring a 217.5. Campanaro was also able to ride Trix Aristocrat MR for Matese Ranch to second place (217) – together with Pietro Tuberga aboard Domenico Sapino’s Katrina Hope Olive and Sara Casalini aboard Giovanni Conti’s Gunner On Line (Shine On Line x Shyawhiz).

This also was the lead in L1 Open for Sara Casalini, who had ridden Gunner On Line  to the 2022 ERCHA Futurity Level 1 Open Championship. Second was William Coulomb on WR Shining Remedy (212) ahead of Kay Wienrich with Smooth Cool Jaz (209).

ERCHA Snaffle Bit Classic Non Pro and L1 Non Pro 4-5 Yrs:  Giorgia Girardello wins Reined Work

With a score of 218.5 Giorgia Girardello and Girl of Spark (Spark N Whiz x One More Whiz Girl) won the Reined Work of the ERCHA Snaffle Bit Classic Non Pro and L1 Non Pro 4-5 Yrs. The two already were ERCHA/NRCHA METALLIC CAT DERBY Champions L1 Non Pro this year.

Lorenzo Colombo and Henry Royal Rey (Roany Rey x Mariah Pep) came in second with a 211.5, followed by Edoardo Ferro on Sperk Aristocrat MR (211).  Lorenzo Colombo and Henry Royal Rey were, among others, 2022 ERCHA Co-Reserve Futurity Champion Open.

Lorenzo also came out on top in the ERCHA Snaffle Bit Classic Non-Pro Boxing 4-5-6 Yrs. Alice Bruscaini and DG Pep Ray came in second (209.5), followed by Jan-Luca Waizenegger and Elta Great Step (206) .

ERCHA Open and Ltd. Open Bridle Spectacular: Top Score 218 for Antoine Cloux

In the ERCHA Open and Ltd. Open Bridle, it was all about the Herd Work today, which at the same time was also part of the Nations Cup. Top score was achieved by the Swiss Antoine Cloux with the 8-year-old stallion Wares The Nurse (WR This Cats Smart x Nurseware) owned by Brigitte Belin: 218. This was the lead in the Limited Open. Kay Wienrich followed in 2nd place with Next Smooth Boon (214) ahead of Gabriele Poli Barberis on Highbrow Fletch (212) owned by Samuele Poli Barberis.

In the Open, Giovanni Campanaro on Bet Rey Command (Dual On Command X Dots My Bet), owned by Green Mountain Quarter Horses secured the lead (215). Second was Gabriele Poli Barberis on Highbrow Fletch (212), followed by William Coulomb on Patrick Richards Smart Bobby Time (211).

Vera Walliser leads after Herd Work in ERCHA Non Pro and L1 Non Pro Bridle Spectacular

In the Herd Work of the ERCHA Non Pro and L1 Bridle Spectacular, Swiss rider Vera Walliser took the lead with CD Fortunate Son (Metallic Cat x CDS Lucky Gal) with a 214. Second in the Non Pro was Magnus Gustafsson on Metallics Journey (213) ahead of Eliane Seiler Gfeller with CR Rosie The Riveter (212). Second place in L1 Non Pro was shared by Jacky Molliex-Donjon on GS Top On Whizard and Andrea Popp on Sugars Smartest Lena, who both scored a 211.

Nations Cup: Switzerland in 1st place after Herd Work

This also means that the first results for the Nations Cup are in, in which five nations are taking part this time. With 645 points, the Swiss team is currently in the lead, consisting of Antoine Cloux, Shirley Schalcher, Christoph Seiler and Eliane Seiler Gfeller). Italy (Giovanni Campanaro, Gabriele Poli Barberis, Samuele Poli Barberis and Markus Schöpfer) follows in second place with 638 points, ahead of Austria with 628 points (Arno Gorgasser, Nadine Hartmann, Andrea Popp and Peter Trixner), France with 626.5 points (Ferary Audrey, Christophe Kayser and Jacky Molliex-Donjon) and Germany with 618.5 points (Sabine Brasche, Patrick Sattler, Martin Schemuth and Joschka Werdermann).
