Markus Schopfer won the 2015 Ercha Prefuturity Open with Dual Chic SQVR

The fourth limited aged event for the 2015 season of European reined Cow Horse Association was held at the Ca’ Masiero Ranch of Mestrino (PD) Italy in the first week of August. The Prefuturity is a show open to horses aged 3 and 4 showed in snafflebit with two hands.

They performed in this special event as many as 18 riders: 11 in the open class, 7 in that no pro 7 also in the Limited Non Pro, while they were in 5 in the limited open class. Entirely judged by Judge Ricky Bordignon with scribe Alessandra Bevilacqua.

Markus Schopfer and Dual Chic SQVR win the title of Open Prefuturity Champion Edition 2015. This beautiful stallion born in 2011 and owned by the same Schopfer with whom he also take part in the Derby Open, is ridden by Schopfer since the beginning. Dual Chic SQVR is out of Mister Dual Pep and A Vintage Chic by A Sparkling Vintage. The total score of this fantastic combination is excellent: a 218.5 (72 herd / 73.5 rein / 73 cow) by which the combination was proclaimed Prefuturity Open 2015 champion: “I have no words to describe this horse,” says Schopfer after the award “Dual Chic SQVR is a fantastic horse.” The duo consists of Markus Schopfer and Snapper Bingo owned by Sandro Peretto heeled closely the first step of the podium, getting second place in the Prefuturity Open thanks to the total score of 217.5 (73 herd / 71.5 rein / 73 cow). Snapper Bingo is a 4-year-old gelding out of Peptos Lil Bingo and Snapper Victoria by Snapper Cal Bar.

In the Limited Open division winner was the pair composed of Christoph Seiler and Mr Major owned by Roman Hossmann, beautiful sorrel gelding 4 years old (by Mr Colonel Smart). The rider from Switzerland was the author of three tests very clean for a total of 204 points (68 herd / 69 rein / 67 cow), score by which flew directly at the top of the Limited Open division. Second place in this division went to the Italian trainer Michele Masi who presented Thaz Money, beautiful sorrel gelding 3 years owned by Filippo Masi who finished with a total of 197 (62 herd / 70 rein / 65 cow).

The titles of Prefuturity Non Pro and Limited Non Pro Champion went to Elisa Ferrari and Midnight Bay Dream (ARC Tora Tora x Smart Sarah), through ownership. The pair scored a rating of 72 in the herd work, a 69 in the rein work and ended with a 73 in the cow work for a final total of 214 points. The newly formed duo was undisputed ruler of the Non Pro class. Elisa plans to present her to all the special event of the European reined Cow Horse Association: “I’m very happy to come back in the cow horse, and this victory is beautiful for me!

In second place in the Prefuturity Non Pro and Limited Non Pro we find the Andrea Sanfelici riding his Ret Great N San (Ret N Dry x ML Greatasan), already defending champions of Ercha 2015 Futurity Limited Non Pro Champion. They also reconfirmed this year in Mestrino thanks to the total of 212 (71 herd / 72 rein / 69 cow). Ret N Dry is a 4-year-old paint stallion.
