ERCHA Filippo Masi Novice Riders

On their third horse show together, Sara Crisci and Smart Theodore are Filippo Masi Novice Riders Champions with a composite score of 137 (66/71). Smart Theodore is a 4-year-old gelding, bred by Daniele Gennai , sired by SLJ Smart Doc and out of Sparks Rosellina: “he has only few months of experience with cows, he is a very simple horse, always try to help you. I’m proud of him and really happy with my win today!”, commented the young Italian rider after the competition.

Cristian Gorni riding his Boomer Little Uno tooks reserve champion title in Filippo Masi Novice Riders with a total of 135 (66/69) . Boomer Little Uno is a 5-year-old American Quarter Horse gelding bred by Francesca Zerbi, sired by Mister Little Uno and out of Make A Boom.

Both Sara and Cristian ride with Andrea Sanfelici, Hackamore Classic Open and Level 1 Open Champion just crowned yesterday evening here in Travagliato.

ERCHA/NRCHA Open and Limited Open Bridle

Giovanni Campanaro and Hot As Wasabi are Open Bridle Champions with a total of 143.5 (71.5/72). Hot As Wasabi is a 8-year-old American Quarter Horse mare, owned by Sarah Destefanis and bred by Lonnie D. Allsup. This chestnut mare arrived in Italy at the age of 2-year-old and from that moment always brings her rider on top. “I want more horses like her in my stable!” say Giovanni after the competition. “She is simple and easy, in the arena she gives everything.”

Limited Open Bridle Champion and Open Bridle Reserve Champion titles went to French rider Antoine Cloux with a total of 142 (72/70). Antoine presented Wares The Nurse, a 7-year-old stallion bred by Wagonhound Land & Livestock LLC and owned by Brigitte Belin; sired by WR This Cats Smart and out of Nurseware. “I really like this horse, I don’t want to push him a lot because I hope to have him for a long period. He is very talented and stylish in the arena! Today I feel him a little tired, probably for the hot weather.”

Limited Open Bridle Reserve Champions are Federico Fanti and WR Smart N Slinky (WR This Cats Smart x Chupikas Real Jewel) with a total of 139.5 (71/69.5). Wr Smart N Slinky is a 6-year-old mare, bred by Todd A. Nelson and owned by Massimo Morenghi.

ERCHA/NRCHA Limited Non Pro Bridle

From Germany, Marco Breitenbach brings his VR Lolita Pep (Star G Grand Peppy x Lolita Jacs) to the high step of the podium in the Limited Non Pro Bridle class with a 136.5 (69/67.5). Marco commented just before the awards presentation: “I feel her good today, normally our reining is not so good but it is ok. Cows on this show are tuff but we can manage our run. I hope next year will be our year! I feel her always improving.”

Reserve Champion honors went to Vera Walliser from Switzerland riding CD Fortunate Son (Metallic Cat x CDS Lucky Gal), a 6-year-old mare; with a total score of 136 (67/69).

ERCHA/NRCHA BOX DRIVE

Karl Simon is the winner of the NRCHA approved Box Drive class, with Bricks Smart Player between the rein and a total score of 130.5 (69/61.5). Bricks Smart Player is a 12-year-old stallion bred by Roger Kupfer, sired by Jac O Rima and out of Avril Smart Play. “He is perfect for me! When I make a mistake he doesn’t want to do wrong things! It’s funny, he corrects me each time. This is our fourth year together, today I feel him good, correct in the reining but also in the boxing.”
