In front of 5,000 visitors Giovanni Campanaro claimed the ERCHA Reined Cow Horse Futurity Open Championship aboard Bet Command Rey (composite score: 864) and also became reserve Champion aboard WR Smoke Time (862). In fact, the 25-year-old Italian had four horses in the final and place fourth aboard SJR Sumkinda Reydar and fifth aboard DG Little Rey Merada.
Pietro Tuberga and Legacy Little Cat placed third with a composite score of 861. Samuele Poli and Bling My Ride followed on sixth place (844), Andrea Santini and Ans Snack Cat on seventh place (843,5). Markus Schöpfer placed eighth aboard Miss Besty Chex (834), ninth aboard Chics Smart Lover (830) and tenth aboard Sailin Sun Sweety.
Italy claims Team and Individual Gold in ERCHA Durango Boots Cowhorse Nations Cup
In the ERCHA Durango Boots Cowhorse Nations Cup, Italy claimed team gold with a total score of 1937. Markus Schöpfer earned a 220 in Herd Work aboard his amazing Peptos Lil Bingo, 217 in Rein Work and a 215 in Cow Work which was a total of 652 which turned out to be individual gold as well. „Peptos Lil Bingo is a wonderful horse. Unfortunately, he is already 16. I would never have thought that we would have such a great run. I can only say thank you to my horse.“ Andrea Santini aboard Ans Wyatt Pep scored a total of 644 for the team (219 / 208 / 217) which was second place in individual ranking as well, followed by Giovanni Campanaro aboard Smart Speedy with a total score of 641 (196 /218,5 / 226,5) – third place in individual ranking.
Switzerland claimed Team Silver with a total score of 1897. The team consisted of Nathalie Ten Sjthoff aboard Twister Olena Chic, Christoph Seiler aboard Chex Your Guns , Eliane Gfeller aboard Walla Dundee Whiz and Shirley Schalcher aboard Big And Sweet BB.
Germany placed third in team ranking with a composite score of 1872 with Maik Bartmann aboard Smart Little Theo, Patrick Sattler Philipp aboard Shooters Little Sun, Philipp Martin Haug aboard Peppy Steppin Jac and Kay Wienrich aboard Vals Hangten Harry.
The Czech Republic missed the medal ranks by only five points. Their composite score was 1867 points. The team consisted of Odrej Houska aboard This Cat Light, Thomas Barta aboard Sugars Smartest Lena, Radek Holub aboard Chelsea Little Bar and Vaclav Vacik aboard MA Starfighter
France followed on fifth place (1841) with Frederic Roux aboard Shamrock King Jac, Frank Ayache aboard Doc Shining Ricci. Laurent Buttigliero aboard A Red Litte Star and Jacky Molliex Donjon aboard SCR Bingo Time.
Austria placed sixth (1789,5 points) with Hannes Wienrich aboard PRF One Time Thunder, Nadine Hartmann aboard Okleos Holi Gold, Peter Trixner aboard Pepto In Blue Jeans and Christian Kammerland aboard JP A Berry Hot Chex. Christoph Seiler won the Working Cow Horse Limited Open Bridle aboard Chex Your Guns scoring a 439.5 – 218,5 in Reined Work and 221 in Fence Work. Philipp Martin Haug and Peppy Steppin Jac placed second with a 419,5 (207,5/212). Tomas Barta (CZE) and Sugars Smartest Lena followed on third place (417).
