AMERICANA 2017 – a Mekka for Cattle Classes: ERCHA Nations Team Cup Finals on Thursday Night – Master Cutting and ERCHA Futurity Finals on Saturday Night
(Augsburg) AMERICANA 2017 (Augsburg, September 6 until 10, 2017) will be in the focus of international Cutting and Cow Horse again. For many years, the NCHA approved and Masters Cutting classes have been among the highlights of the international Cutting show schedule and attracted some of the World’s best cutters including those of the U.S. For the European Reined Cow Horse Association (ERCHA), AMERICANA remains the most important platform for their ERCHA Futurity. In 2017, there will be another ERCHA highlight: The ERCHA Nations Team Cup with the best international teams. The finals of the main cutting and cow horse classes will be part of the AMERICANA evening shows.
The best of the best: ERCHA Nations Team Cup
The ERCHA Nations Team Cup is based on an idea of ERCHA president Markus Schopfer. Here, top international teams compete in a team competition, followed by an individual competition. The first Team Cup was won by Italy with Germany and France following on second and third place. From now on, the ERCHA Nations Team Cup (like the ERCHA Futurity) will be part of AMERICANA. In 2017, the final will be included in the Thursday Night show on September 8.
World Cup Cutting Open finals on Saturday Night
Like in 2015, the World Cup Cutting Open final will be part of the Saturday Night show with thousands of people watching. And visitors can look forward to exciting competition with a lot of surprise sometimes During AMERICANA 2015, the best of the go round, Congress Cutting Open Champion Gianluca Munarini and Bearly A CD Light had bad luck in the final. The cows recommended by his helpers did not turn out as they had thought. Gianluca lost both, and even his brilliant run with the third cow could not save their score. The winner was Denis Pini aboard All About Pep who scored a 152.
On Saturday night as well: ERCHA Open Cow Horse Futurity Fencework Final
As always, the second highlight of Saturday night will be the ERCHA Open Cowhorse Futurity Fencework final. In 2015, the top rider of the go round also won the final: Giovanni Campanaro aboard the 3-year-old Paint Horse gelding RH Hesa Pepto Diamond (Spoonful of Merada x Marriah Diamond) owned by Azienda Agricola Tenuta Comba. Their brilliant fencework was rewarded with a 144. Together with the secondbest Reined Work (142,5) and a solid Herd Work presentation (141), that was a total of 427,5 and the Futurity Championship.

But AMERICANA 2017 will not only be a highlight for fans of cutting and cowhorse. For many years, this unique event has been offering the perfect platform for almost every discipline like the Ranch Riding World Cup 2017 as well as one of the most renowned international Reining Bronze Trophies and the World Cup Trail.
Everything for the western horse and rider
It’s the combination of fine sports and the biggest Western fair in Europe that makes AMERICANA unique. The fair offers a vast variety of western outfit, equipment, horse feed, barn and facility technique etc. Also the big western horse and riding associations will be there. Whoever thinks of buying a western horse or wants to get more information about a certain breed, will find the right person to talk to here. Europe’s leading breeders and trainers will present themselves at AMERICANA with stands of their own and will be happy to answer any questions.
