The European Reined Cow Horse Association has arrived at the last competition of the 2024 show season. In Travagliato (BS), Italy, from October 10 to 13, the Autumn Show took place, a competition reserved for 4 and 5-year-old horses ridden two-handed in snaffle bit. At the same time, the finals of the Regional Championship were held, featuring the best European riders competing for the championship title in various categories. Autumn Show

At the end of 3 exciting events of the special event reserved for 4 and 5-year-old horses, the most prestigious division was won by the young Italian professional Pietro Soragni. Pietro presented his 4-year-old gelding Tequila Boon Cat (Boogie Boon x Carmelita Cat), scoring a total of 218.5 points (72 herd/73 rein/73.5 cow), which allowed him to win in all 3 divisions: Open, Limited Open, and Level 1 Open. Soragni and Tequila had already showcased their talent during the Metallic Cat Snafflebit Futurity, where they captured the Champion title in Level 1.

Second place honors in the Open, Limited Open and Level 1 Open went to Italy again with the performance of Andrea Sanfelici and CLR Corona Seco Boon, a 4-year-old gelding sired by Boogie Boon and out of Donna Secolo, owned by Micol Fontana. This horse and rider combination bring home a total of 218 (70 herd/75 rein/73 cow).

In the Non Pro division the winner was from Switzerland Shirley Schalcher, between her reins the 5-year-old mare Just Metallic Light (Sannman x Just Getting Light). Their total score was a 210 (71.5 herd/67.5 rein/71 cow). 

Italian Giorgia Girardello and Girl of Spark (Spark N Whiz x One More Whiz Girl) placed on the first step of the podium in the Level 1 Non Pro but thanks to the score of 207.5 (71 herd/70.5 rein/66 cow) they bring home also the Reserve Championship in the Non Pro division.

Level 1 Non Pro Reserve Champions are from Austria: Andrea Popp and her 4 year-old Quarter Horse mare Sugars Smart Annie (Sugars Smartest Lena x Avril Smart Play) scored a total of 199.5 (69 herd/70.5 rein/60 cow) that allowed them to place second in the Level 1 Non Pro.

Another Italian young rider got the Champion title in the Non Pro Boxing, with 205.5 points (68 herd/65.5 rein/72 cow) Gloria Benassi and the 4 year-old Paint Horse gelding High Ret Devil (Ret Great N San x High Brow Dancer). 

From Italy Daniele Rollè and his 5-year-old mare Marlena Spark N Time (Kitas Spark x Jamie Showgun) scored a total of 202.5 (62 herd/71 rein/69.5 cow) to claim the Reserve Championship in the Non Pro Boxing division.

Bridle Spectacular

Austrian Tomas Barta and the 6-year-old Quarter Horse mare CR Tuff Calie Rey (Woody Be Tuff x Calie Del Rey), owned by Karl Simon, are crowned Bridle Spectacular Champions with a total of 210 points (70 herd/69.5 rein/70.5 cow). On second place of the Open Bridle Spectacular we find German Christian Conrad, between his reins the 8 year-old Quarter Horse gelding One Smart Sultan (Two Play To x Avril Smart Play) with a total of 207.5 points (68.5 herd/70 rein/69 cow).

In the Non Pro Bridle Spectacular on top of the podium we find from Switzerland Vera Walliser and her 8-year-old gelding CD Fortunate Son (Metallic Cat x CDS Lucky Gal) with a total of 213.5 points (71 herd/71.5 rein/71 cow). Also the Reserve Champion title in the Non Pro remain in Switzerland with the performance of Shirley Schalcher and her 10-year-old stallion DG Little Rey Merada. Their total was a 209.5 (69 herd/71.5 rein/69 cow).

From Slovakia is the Non Pro Boxing Bridle Spectacular Champions: Adela Molcanova and her 8-year-old mare Nu Peptoslady (Peptos Bar x Bodees Destiny) claimed the title with 209 points (69 rein/68.5 herd/ 71.5 cow). 

ERCHA Regional Finals and last stage of the ERCHA Championship

Limited Open Bridle National

The winner in the last stage of the ERCHA Championship is German Simone Fiedler who presented her Run Kid Don’t Spook (Spooks Dox x Sailinspark Playgirl) and got a total of 142.5 (70.5 rein/72 cow). Simone and her ride bring home the Champion title in the Novice Horse Open class with a total of 141.5 (70.5 rein/71 cow). On second place from Italy Roberto Marchi rode OW Snapper Time (Acres of Time x Snapper Hickory) for owner Carlotta Zigiotti.

Open Bridle Regional Final

The winner of the Regional Championship in the Open Bridle was Italian Michele De Simone who presented Elan Aristocrat MR (Tassas Aristocrat x Helena Starlight) for owner Emily Santarelli with 134 points (69.5 rein/64.5 cow). 

Filippo Masi Novice Riders and Box Drive National 

German rider Ronald Fiedler was the Champion in the Filippo Masi Novice Riders final stage, between his reins The Big Lebowski, 21-year-old gelding sired by Jac O Rima and out Joes Prescription. Their total was a 140 (69 rein/71 cow). This horse and rider combination bring home also the first place in the Box Drive class with 139.5 points (68 rein/71.5).

The Box Drive Reserve Champion is Spanish Raimundo Segura with his ANS Mokie Vaquero, 6-year-old Quarter Horse stallion sired by ANS Mokie Cat and out of Junes Little CD.

Novice Riders Regional Final

Italy dominated in the Novice Riders Regional Final, with Daniele Marsonnet and KR Gotta Play (banjo Whiz x Play The Lotto) owned by Roberto Di Cola, who marked a total of 129 (63.5 rein/65.5 cow). Reserve Champion title went to Aurora Mengoni and her MA Tassasino (Tassas Aristocrat x Bar Stylish Susy) with 125 points (61.5 rein/63.5 cow).

Limited Non Pro Boxing and Non Pro Bridle Regional Final 

For Slovakia Adela Molcanova and her Nu Peptoslady (Peptos Bar x Bodees Destiny) claimed double Champion title with 141 points (69.5 rein/71.5 cow) in the National but also in the Regional Final of the Limited Non Pro Boxing. Later in the day Adela and Nu Peptoslady clinched another Champion title, this time in the Non Pro Bridle Regional Final with 137.5 points (67.5 rein/70 cow). On the second step of the podium in the National division pf the Limited Non Pro Boxing Spanish Raimundo Segura placed his ANS Mokie Vaquero with 139 points (69 rein/70 cow).

Novice Horse Open Regional Final 

For Italy Michele De Simone won the Regional Final in the Novice Horse Open division with LR PeptoWoodySpat (Woodys Time x Of Spat) for owner Gabriele Galluzzi, their total was a 140 (71 rein/69 cow). In second position Roberto Marchi placed OW Time of Revenge (Time For Haida x MV Lenas Revenge) owned by Carlotta Zigiotti with 138 points (70 rein/68 cow).

Novice Horse Non Pro National

Italian young rider Sara Crisci clinched the Champion title with her Smart Theodore, 6-year-old Quarter Horse gelding sired by SLJ Smart Doc and out of Sparks Rosellina with a total score of 138.5 (71.5 rein/67 cow). On the second step of the podium in the National division but also in the Novice Horse Non  Regional Final stepped the duo formed by Austrian Karl Simon and CR Tuff Calie Rey who ended with a total of 125.5 points (62 rein/63.5 cow).

Novice Horse Non Pro Regional Final

Italian duo formed by Andrea Ambrogiani and his Top Star All Dun (Billy All Dun x Tops O Lena Star) claimed the Champion title with 142.5 points (70.5 rein/72 cow).

Level 1 Non Pro Bridle

The Champion title went in Sweden with Magnus Gustafsson and his stallion Metallics Journey (Metallic Cat x Smart LittleChet) who scored a total of 139 points (69 rein/70 cow). Swiss Vera Walliser and her CD Fortunate Son are Reserve Champions with 137.5 points (69.5 rein/70 cow).

Herdwork All Ages Open National

Italian Emanuele Di Sauro and 3-year-old mare Rebel Wildflower (JR Brave Heart x Sannman) owned by Emanuela Portaluri took the lead in the Herdwork All Ages Open national stage. Behind them Italian professional rider Markus Schopfer placed the 7-year-old Quarter Horse stallion Dark Ice (Gunner On Ice x Smart Blue Frost) for owner Mattia Canella.

Herdwork All Ages Open Regional Final

For Italy Roberto Marchi clinched the Champion title in the Open Regional Final with 70 points, between his reins 5-year-old stallion OW Snapper Time (Acres of Time x Snapper Hickory) owned by Carlotta Zigiotti. On second position Italian Michele De Simone with 69.5 points and Elan Aristocrat MR (Tassas Aristocrat x Helena Starlight) for owner Emily Santarelli.

Herdwork All Ages Non Pro National

Austrian Karl Simon and his CR Tuff Calie Rey took home first place in the Herdwork All Ages Non Pro last stage, their total was a 69. In second position Patrizio Galante from Italy placed his 4-year-old mare Dualees CD Oak (Dualees CD x Miss Greatest Workin) with 63 points.

Herdwork All Ages Non Pro Regional Final

From Austria also the Herdwork All Ages Non Pro Regional Champions: Andrea Popp and her Sugars Smart Annie scored a 68 to bring home the title in this division.
