Our Association

ERCHA, founded and registered in Germany in 1999 as the European Reined Cow Horse Association out of necessity and logistics then moved the registration to Italy in the year 2000. ERCHA is charged with overseeing and enforcing the rules governing the sport of reined cow horse riding, as well as preserving and educating the public about the rich history of this style and tradition of riding. As a member-focused organization, ERCHA, led by its Board of Directors, is committed to upholding the integrity and sustainability of the association, its sanctioned and managed events and the sport as a whole for the benefit of our members, external partners, supporters and fans and in support of the horses that compete in our arenas.

Through numerous Regional Clubs in Italy and Europe, as well as through non-affiliated partners, ERCHA supports approved events throughout the year. These ERCHA/NRCHA-approved events often provide the starting point for riders interested in reined cow horse riding.

In addition to sanctioned events, ERCHA/NRCHA runs six major events per year. These events feature the highest level of reined cowhorse competition and offer fans and spectators the opportunity to join in the festivities in both paid and non-paid finals.
