AMERICANA 2015:

Giovanni Campanaro dominates ERCHA Futurity Open Go round, Robert Lagergren won the Limited Open Futurity and Alessandro Tugnoli took the lead in the Limited Non Pro Futurity

The ERCHA European Reined Cow Horse Futurity is traditionally one of the highlights at AMERICANA. Ten horses made it into the Open Reined Cow Horse Futurity final. In the Go round Italian rider Giovanni Campanaro took the lead with three horses on the first places. Scoring a total of 432, Giovanni Campanaro and RH Hesa Pepto Diamond won the go round. His score of 147 in the fence work was highscore in all three classes. Giovanni placed second aboard RH Tremor in Style (426). And third with Sweety Smart Baby (419,5).

Robert Lagergren and HH One Piece of Gun placed fourth (415), followed by Samuele Poli aboard Bossin Ann and Giovanni Campanaro with Smart Wrangler On Me (413,5 each), Daniele Francescato aboard AB Kalyoak Enterprise (412), Markus Schöpfer aboard Dual Chic SQVR (409,5), Christoph Seiler with Mr Major (404) and Adelmo Vannini aboard Girls Got Dual (404).

In the European Reined Cow Horse Futurity Non Pro go-round, again Adelmo Vannini and Girls Got Dual took the lead scoring a 399.5. Alessandro Tugnoli and Skeet Dancer followed on second place (397.5). Elisa Ferrari and Midnight Baydream placed third (385), followed by Caroline Baudinger aboard Surley A Peptocat (380,5) and Alessandro Tugnoli aboard Star Sky Diamond (377).

In the Reined Cowhorse Futurity Novice Amateur there was Herd Work, Rein Work and Boxing plus another Boxing score final. After three classes, Elisa Ferrari and Midnight Baydream took the lead scoring a 401. Alessandro Tugnoli and Skeet Dancer placed second (397,5) with Peter Kun aboard CR Sassylittlelegend (396,5), Caroline Baudinger aboard Surley A Peptocat and Alessandro Tugnoli aboard Star Sky Diamond following (385).

The Limited Open Futurity went to Robert Lagergren aboard HH One Piece of Gun with 415 points. Daniele Francescato and AB Kalyoak Enterprise placed second (412), Christoph Seiler and Mr Major third (404). Philipp Martin Haug followed on fourth and fifth place aboard Haidalena Vintage and Papros Pride Notice.

The Limited Non Pro Futurity was won by Alessandro Tugnoli aboard Skeet Dancer with 397,5 points. Elisa Ferrari and Midnight Baydream placed second (385), Caroline Baudinger and Surley A Peptocat third (380,5), Alessandro Tugnoli and  Star Sky Diamond fourth (377).

10-year-old Leni Bartmann wins ERCHA Novice Rider

What a great performance! With a score 276 points, 10-year-old Leni Bartmann and her Paint Horse gelding Smart Little Theo won the ERCHA Novice Rider showing the best reined work of the field (score 134) and earning a 142 in the fence fence work.  Peter Kun and Smart Blackbird placed second scoring a 270.5 and also rode CR Sassylittlelegend on third place (269).

Leni is the third generation of Bartmans who is starting her show career. Her father Maik won his first ribbon at AMERICANA in 1988 claiming bronze in Youth Reining, in 1992 he became European Champion Reining Youth here and in 1998 in Working Cowhorse. Her grandfather Reinhold Bartmann is one of Germany’s earliest breeders of American Quarter Horses (since 1980) and was European Champion Senior Reining in 1984.

Smart Little Theo (Smart Flying Colours x Honey Be Smart) was trained by Maik Bartmann, who 2014 was European Champion Working Cowhorse and Reserve Champion Junior Reining. Leni won the NRHA Youth – 11 at the 2014 NRHA Breeders Futurity.

ERCHA Non Pro Limited Bridle belongs to Vacik Vaczav from Czech Republic

The ERCHA Working Cowhorse Non Pro Limited Bridle was won by Vacik Vaczav from the Czech Republic and his 8-year old Appaloosa stallion MA Starfighter (Starlight Elan x My Mom Won It All). The two showed a brilliant fence work scoring a 147. Together with the second best reined work of the field, this was a total of 285.5 points.  Katrin Bartmann and the Paint Horse Smart Little Theo, which had just won the ERCHA Novice with Kathrin’s 10-year-old daughter Leni placed second. With Katrin Bartmann, he had the best reined work (139) and gave a great performance in the fence work (144) which was a total of 283. Mirjam Weber and Shakentothemusic placed third scoring a 280.5.

Markus Schöpfer takes lead in World Cup ERCHA Working Cow Horse Open Bridle

Italian rider Markus Schöpfer and Peptos Lil Bingo took the lead in the World Cup ERCHA Working Cow Horse Open bridle. In the reined work, Peptos Lil Bingo earned a 142, in fence work a 149 – this was a total of 291.

Philipp Martin Haug and Peppys Steppin Jac care second at the moment with a total score of 290.5. The two had the best fence work: score 150. Patrick Sattler and Shooters Little Sun place second with a score of 286.5.

Tomas Barta (CZE) and Smoking Cowboy SB place fourth scoring a 284, with Kay Wienrich aboard San Badger Andaure following on fifth place: 281,5 (Reined Work 140,5/Fence Work 141).

Patrick Sattler tops Limited Open Bridle class

The Limited Open Bridle was run class in class with the Open Bridle. The winner was Patrick Sattler aboard Shooters Little Sun who scored a 286,5 (Reined Work 140,5 / Fence Work 146), with Tomas Barta and Smoking Cowboy SB placing second  (142 / 142) and Kay Wienrich aboard San Badger Andaure (140,5 / 141) placing third.

Armin Traub won World Cup ERCHA Working Cow Horse Non Pro Bridle, Giovanni Campanaro the Open Hackamore class

The World Cup ERCHA Working Cow Horse Non Pro Bridle was dominated by the german rider Armin Traub who scored a 279.5 aboard Shooters Little Sun. Masha Stein and Gatlings Hot Cookie placed second with Katharina Götz and Signed By Chex following on 3rd place.

The ERCHA Hackamore Open 5 years & under went to Giovanni Campanaro with Showtime Chic Olena between the reins, who scored a total of 287.5 points. Samuele Poli and Cats Got Freckles followed on 2nd place (284). Sabine Brasche and Peptomoonsmal placed third (278,5).

ERCHA Futurity Non Pro and Novice Amateur division goes to Elisa Ferrari & Midnight Baydream

Italian Elisa Ferrari and Midnight Baydream (ARC Tora Tora x Smart Sarah) claimed the 2015 ERCHA Futurity Championship Non Pro scoring a total of 406. The 4-year-old American Quarter Horse mare bred in the Italy won also the Novice Amateur division with a score of 540. Elisa Ferrari and her mare were also 2015 ERCHA Prefuturity Non Pro Champions.

Alessandro Tugnoli and Skeets Dancer placed second (387) and third aboard Star Sky Diamond (383.5), followed by Austrian Caroline Baudinger and Surely A Peptocat (382). Peter Kun aboard CR Sassylittlelegend (526,5) are fifth in the Novice Amateur class.

Giovanni Campanaro & RH Hesa Pepto Diamond claim ERCHA Open Cowhorse Futurity Championship

The fencework final of the ERCHA Cowhorse Open Futurity was one of the two highlights of the Saturday night show of Americana. In front of 4,800 visitors Giovanni Campanaro from Italy and his 3-year-old Paint Horse gelding RH Hesa Pepto Diamond (Spoonful of Merada x Marriah Diamond) won the fence work and the Futurity Open Championship for the owner Azienda Agricola Tenuta Comba. The two had a brilliant fencework scoring a 144. Together with the second best reined work (142,5) and a solid herd work (141), this was a total of  427.5. Campanaro is a multiple Working Cowhorse and Team Penning Champion who won more than $ 12,000 at ERCHA Shows during the last three years.

With only ½ a point behind (427), multiple Cowhorse Champion Robert Lagergren from Sweden and his 3-year-old AQHA gelding HH One Piece of Gun (Steady Big Chex x Masterpiece 2000) placed second for owner Linda Henriksson. The two had excelled in their herd work (146) and had the second best run in fence work scoring a 142. Scoring a total of 423, Giovanni Campanaro rode RH Tremor in Style to third place place honours and also placed fourth aboard Sweety Smart Baby (420,5).

Samuele Poli and  Bossin Ann placed fifth (417,5), with Markus Schöpfer aboard Dual Chic SQVR (413), Non Pro Champion Adelmo Vannini aboard Girls Got Dual (412), Christoph Seiler aboard Mr Major (394,5) and Daniele Francescato with AB Kalyoak Enterprise (255,5) following.
