For Immediate release: Nrcha/Ercha Prefuturity Show 2010– Flumignano (UD)

The fourth special event for the European Reined Cow Horse Association took place the last weekend, in Flumignano, Udine: the Nrcha/Ercha Prefuturity was hosted by the facility of Mondelli Stable.

The show, reserved to 3 and 4 year old horses, in training for the Nrcha/Ercha Futurity 2010, also featured a full slate of ancillary classes, valid for the Ercha Championship Ranking 2010. The competition started on Saturday the 31st  July and finished on Sunday 1st  August, and was entirely judged by Enrico Righetti.

The Ercha/Nrcha Prefuturity offered six classes: Open 4 years Old, Limited Open 4 years Old, Open 3 years Old, Limited Open 3 years Old, Non Pro, and Limited Non Pro.

In the Open 4 years Old, with four entries, Markus Schopfer took the championship, astride Shine Like A Babe, the bay mare owned by Quarter Dream, with composite score 216 (71,5 – 72 – 72,5). Schopfer and this daughter of Shining Spark, and out of Summer Chex, by Bueno Chex, took the lead immediately after the herd work, scoring 71,5, and maintained the lead, thank to a 72 in the rein work, and a 72,5 in the fence work. The pair, who won the 2009 Ercha/Nrcha Prefuturity Open 3 years old championship, last year, and was 2010 Ercha/Nrcha Spring Stakes Open Champion, was also 2010 Hackamore Classic Open Champion at the beginning of July.

Max Ruggeri was Reserve Champion in this class, and won the Limited Open 4 years-old class, riding Dual Tappis Diamond, a bay roan gelding by Dual Marquis Diamond, and out of Sugar Tina Chic, owned by Anna Kargol. The pair scored 68 in the herd work, 70 in the rein work, and a consistent 73 in the fence work, which was the top score of the show, in the cow work.

Samuele Poli and Cd Shinette (Cd Olena x Sheza Shinette), owned by Simona Spronelli, placed 3rd, in the 4 years Old Open ranking, and second in the 4 years Old Limited Open ranking, by scoring 207 (64 – 71 – 72), while Marco Cestaro and Snapper Flo Bar (Smart Little Flo x Snappy Lena Bar) was respectively 4th and 3rd , with score 190 (67 – 61 – 62); the horse belongs to Francesco Rocca.

In the Nrcha/Ercha Prefuturity Open 3 years-old class, with 3 entries, Markus Schopfer gained another champion title, astride the beautiful MA Starfighter, a sorrel appaloosa stallion, by Starlight Elan and out of the cow horse champion My Mom Won It All, owned by Marco Brunetti. The pair scored 69 in the herd work, 71 in the rein work, and 69,5 down the fence. Markus Schoepfer had won several cow horse special events riding the dam of this stallion, My Mom Won It All, that has lifetime earnings in excess of $ 16.000. the mare was a 2003 NRCHA Intermediate Open Futurity Finalist, Multiple ERCHA Special Event Champion, and also AICH 5/6-year-old Italian Open Reserve Champion.

The Reserve Championship title in this class went to Serena Bagnara, riding  MkIstant Lena (Special Choice x Smart N Sexy Lena), owned by Ruffo Horses. The pair scored 64 in the herd work, 67,5 in the reining, and 70 down the fence. The pair won the Limited Open 3 years old Prefuturity class.

Giacomo Poli and Ima Snoop Olena finished 3rd in this class, scoring 128 (60-68-0). The horse is by Ima Snooper Too and out of Blue Foxy Baby; the owner is Marco Giannini.

There were only two Non Pro competitors in the Ercha Prefuturity 2010. Stefano Chiari won the Prefuturity Non Pro class, riding Playboy Remy, by Little Smart Playboy and out of Rc Genuine Senorita. The pair scored 62 in the herd work, 67 in the rein work, and 64 down the fence, for a total score of 193. The Reserve Champion title went to Caroline Baudinger, riding Okleos Holi Gold, by Holi Gold Zan x Bonds Okleo Luna, with score 180 (60-60-60). The pair gained the title in the Limited Non Pro class, where they were the only competitors.

The European Reined Cow Horse Association will complete the show season 2010 with the Nrcha/Ercha Futurity, that will be held in Augsburg, Germany, during the western fair of Americana 2010, in september.
