Giovanni Campanaro and Nic For Me score big and take home the win!

Lyon, 2 November 2013 – The $8,000-added Equità Classic of Cow Horse was thrilling to say the least.  In a field of 11 horse-rider-combinations, Italian Giovanni Campanaro, riding Roberto Anoardo’s Nic For Me, closed his performance with an amazing (146-144.5-148) 438.5.  “This is just a phenomenal horse and I could not be happier,” said Giovanni about the five-year-old gelding by Dualin For Me and out of Lolita Nic (by Boomernic).  “Since the beginning of the week he’s just been getting better and better and today he was superb.” Thanks to this score Giovanni Campanaro took also the first place in the Limited Open division.

Claiming second place honors was Markus Schopfer aboard Naama Reiss’s Double Pick Olena. The pair, who had claimed the Novice Horse Open Champion title last october posted a (143.5-144-144.5) 432.  “I couldn’t be happier,” said Markus about the five-year-old mare.  “This is an amazing horse and today she proved it yet again.”

A Time To Sparkle & Antonino Cancellieri win the Equità Classic Non Pro in Lyon

Lyon, 2 November – The $2,000-added Equità Classic Non Pro.  Leaving the best for last was draw 6, A Time To Sparkle and Italian Antonino Cancellieri.  The pair closed their run with a (139-143.5-146) 428.5 for the win.  The 5-year-old mare by A Chic In Time and out of Diamond Scarlett is owned by the same Cancellieri.  Tony talk about his mare following his run: “This is my first win in Lyon and I’m really happy for my horse and all my team.” Tony and his mount also took the first position in the Limited Non Pro Division and the third in the Open class.

Draw 4, Alisdair Watson and his five-year-old mare Glorys Equalizer closed their performance with a (141-139-120) 400. Their cow work wasn’t very lucky.

Ancillary Action

Opening the competition was the Two Reins Open won by Italian Markus Schopfer riding Jeannette Krahenbuhl’s Elans Painted Rooster. The pair scored a (143.5-146) 289,5.

The Two Reins Non Pro, with a score of 273,0 (134-139), was claimed by Swiss Roman Hossmann riding his Menas Smart Girl.

Winning the Non Pro Bridle was French Jeremie Mas riding Step N Slide with a score of 284,0 (139-145).

Markus Schopfer of Italy took the win in the Open Hackamore aboard Anna Lil Peptos owned by Massimo Milano with a 280,0 (133-147).

Winning the Non Pro Limited class was Jeronimo bruno aboard Troubled Gangster.  The Spanish rider took the win after scoring a 283.0 (140-143).

In the Open Bridle competition, Markus Schopfer  and Peptos Lil Bingo won the title with the score of 290.5 (141,5-149). In the Limited Open division, the French Frederic Roux abroad Shamrock King Jac took the lead with a 279,5 (135.5-144)
