ERCHA/NRCHA HACKAMORE CLASSIC

As usual, this show was held in Mestrino, Padova, Italy in the beautiful facility of Ca’ Masiero Ranch. It was a very nice weekend of cow horse competition. The show was held in June 23rd and 24th, and also featured the third step of the 2012 Ercha Championship with a full slate of ancillary classes in addition to the limited aged event.

Samuele Poli riding Starlight Flame, owned by Federico Ghirardi, won the Hackamore Classic Open class with a composite of 213,5. The pair started with a 71 in the herd work, followed by a 70 in the rein work and ended with a 72.5 in the cow work.

The Hackamore Classic open reserve champion title went to Markus Schopfer, riding Shiney Toplena, owned by Paolo Marasso. The pair scored a 69 in the herd work, a 71,5 in the rein work and ended with a 70,5 in the fence work for a composite of 211.

Massimo Milano took the Non Pro championship riding his horse Hollywood Even Flow. Their composite was 191 (60-68-63).

For the third step of the Ercha championship in the two reins open class the first place went to Markus Schopfer and Remedy The Roan owned by Dominique Reynaud. Reserve champion was Christoph Seiler abroad Cash Lone Star Boy owned by Christine Haller.

In the non pro bridle first place for Eliane Gfeller and her Missys Magic Potion (69-72), gerold Dautzenberd riding Lights R Red took the second place (70-70).

Markus Schopfer and Chics a Shining, sorrel mare by Chic Please owned by Johannes Tsagher, won the open hackamore class with a score of (68,5-70).

Roman Hossmann with his Menas Smart Girl took the novice riders class (68-69), reserve champion honors went to Kathi Gfeller and Wheel Around Oak (68,5-68).

In the novice horse non pro the first place went to Mirko Viviani and Arc Bueno Chicxinix (67,5-65), second place for Loris Raffagnato and Genuine Red Spot (67,5-64).

For the novice horse open class the winner was Enrico Guarda and Sailin Short owned by Loris Raffagnato thanks to a 67 in the rein work and 60 in the cow work. Reserve champion in this class was Franco Giani and GG Snappy Cutter.

Eliane Gfeller and Missys Magic Potion won the non pro limited (69-72), and her mother Kathi Gfeller took the second position with Wheel Around Oak (66,5-70).

In the limited open Gerold Dautzenberg abroad Lights R Red took the first place with a score of 70,5 and 69, second place for Christoph Seiler and Cash Lone Star Boy owned by Christine Haller.

For the open bridle the winner was Markus Schopfer riding the grey stallion of Dominique Reynaud: Mh Sweet Boon (70,5-73). Second position to Gerold Dautzenberg and his Lights R Red.

The next Ercha major event show will be the prefuturity, that will be held in Flumignano (UD) – Mondelli Stable –  on 4th-5th August 2012.
